Frilled shark

Sea Zone | Frilled shark | Frilled shark (Chlamydoselachus anguineus) is one of the two species of sharks in Chlamydoselachidae family, with a wide distribution, but is incomplete in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Found these species is not uncommon on the outer continental shelf and upper continental slope, generally near the bottom in spite of the evidence on the movements of up significantly. He was arrested at a depth of 1570 meters (5150 feet), while in the Bay of Suruga, Japan is the most common in depths of 50-200 meters (160-660 feet).

This type is aplacental and Lud: embryos out of the egg capsules inside the mother's womb, and continuing for a period of mainly yolk. Pregnancy may be as long as three and half years, longer than any vertebrate.
Born in the period between 2 and 15 young at one time, there is no distinct breeding season. Sometimes is captured sharks and frilled catch of commercial fisheries, but have minimal economic value. International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and assessed as Near Threatened, as the birth rate is very low even catch may deplete its population. It has been suggested that shark, or close to the supposed giant, a source of reports of sea snakes.
